Community Cancer Care
Project proposal
Working programme framework · 26 October 2026 · Budget and project-specific approvals pending.
Purpose and scope
People may face uncertainty about where to seek assessment, travel, treatment costs and how to continue follow-up. Community awareness and a clear referral route help connect these steps.
The programme focuses on the head and neck spectrum: oral cavity, thyroid and other neck cancers. A suspected lesion or lump is recorded as a concern until the clinical team establishes a diagnosis.
Delivery plan
- Community awareness and identification of a concern
- Specialist assessment and investigations when indicated
- Documented diagnosis and a clinician-led treatment plan
- Assessment of support needs and coordination of care
- Follow-up, rehabilitation or onward referral as documented
Proposed geography: Hisar and nearby communities. Entry may be through outreach, a referral or the support desk. Clinical need is assessed by the treating team; charitable assistance is reviewed separately against need and resources.
