Listening in the community
Published 19 April 2026 in the Foundation’s original website archive.
The Foundation’s original field report describes visits from 15 to 18 April 2026, with discussions involving local leadership, frontline health workers, schools and Anganwadi centres.
The work focused on cancer and hearing awareness, identifying concerns that needed assessment, and strengthening connections between families and appropriate services. The report also describes adapting planned activity when local circumstances changed.
The original article uses an unresolved village label. Exact village names are therefore not assigned here. Individual health details have been omitted, and referrals are not presented as completed treatment.
The lesson retained from these visits is practical: community work needs time, trust, local participation and a way to follow up after the first conversation.
