#HelpBabyVaanii to Undergo Cochlear Implant Surgery

Baby Vaanii was born on 10 March 2022, and is a young child from Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, suffering from grave hearing loss and is unable to hear sounds, which has immensely impacted her ability to develop speech and communicate like her peers. Currently, Vaanii is unable to communicate her needs verbally and primarily relies on gestures and facial expressions to communicate.
After a thorough medical examination, the recommended course of actions is to perform a Cochlear Implant Surgery, a type of surgery that has the potential to take Vaanii out of the silence that has engulfed her and give her the gift of hearing, learning, and communicating with the world around her.
Cochlear implant surgery along with the associated medical expenses will amount to around ₹4.5 lakhs, a figure that is unfathomable to the family.
Vaanii's father, Mr. Pankaj, is the sole earner in the family. His job in a grocery shop pays him a little over ₹10,000 a month, which is frankly very inadequate in supporting the whole family including Vaanii's grandparents, while Vaanii's mother is a housewife. Vaanii's mother, as a housewife, looks after the child and the family.
Because of the family's financial situation, they cannot get the life changing surgery that Vaanii needs. If she doesn't receive her surgery, her hearing and communication challenges may never improve.
